Tryptone soy agar (blood agar base) 500g

Trypton soy agar is used as a base and is supplemented with blood. Trypton-soy agar is prepared with selected starting materials that do not turn brown. It is specially designed to detect beta-hemolytic reactions and to promote the growth of particularly fastidious aerobic and anaerobic bacteria. The media can be used for the haemolysis test on presumptive colonies of Bacillus cereus, according to the standard ISO 21871.
