The MICRON column uses a nuclear grade, ionically balanced, macroporous mixed bed. It is placed between the ion exchangers and the terminal filter and provides a final polishing of the water. The high porosity of its resins makes it possible to remove particles of 0.1 micron, including colloidal silica. It removes the weakly ionized organic compounds by retention.
