The VIRSeek SARS-CoV-2 Screen kit makes it possible to screen for the E-gene, which codes for the envelope around the viral shell. The kit has been developed as an initial screening test to be used in combination with the VIRSeek SARS-CoV-2 Identification Kit as confirmation. A rapid analysis is possible in about 1 hour by RT-PCR.
