These plates are particularly suitable for use in dairy production facilities. Red colonies associated with gas bubbles can be counted as Coliforms. When diluted 1:5, this allows a sensitivity of 1 coliform per gram. When diluted as 1:10, a sensitivity of 2 coliforms per gram is possible.
