Phileas GENIUS Airborne disinfection unit

The Phileas® Genius® is an autonomous unit enabling airborne disinfection of surfaces, which works through a centrifugation nebulising system. It has been tested against the 2009 O2safe+® or the 2014 versions of the NFT 72-281 (O2safe+® and Phileasafe®).

Disinfecting very small surfaces is a complex process which requires precise and effective techniques to reach and eradicate all of the micro-organisms present. These may be found on any walls, racks, work surfaces, equipment or consumables. The robust and compact Phileas® Genius® can be pre-programmed quickly and easily.

It runs with no need for an operator to be physically present. Using battery-powered (NiMh) programming and operation cycles means you can carry out optimised disinfection in complete autonomy. The whole process can be plotted and remotely controlled by tablet, using the optional MyPhileas® if required.

Thanks to its rotating head and height-adjustable foot, the Phileas® Genius® can be simply inserted into freeze dryers, isolators, biosafety cabinets, serving hatches, sterilising ovens or double-door locks. Its large handles means it can be operated while using gloves, and it can disinfect areas ranging between 0.25m3 and 10m3.. At the end of the disinfecting process all that is left over is free oxygen molecules and water, with no other residue.

The Phileas Genius is ideal for the pharmaceutical, healthcare, biotechnology, research labs, animal facilities, and food and sterile production, agri-food and cosmetics industries, and can be used in labs, biotech and animal facilities.

Specific applications include biological safety cabinets, containment and isolation equipment, environmental chambers, incubators, airlocks and isolators.
