COMPASS Bacillus Plus agar 90mm 20pc

COMPASS® Bacillus cereus Agar is an agar medium, used for the detection and enumeration of spores and vegetative forms of species belonging to the group of presumptive Bacillus cereus in products intended for human and animal food.
Detection or enumeration is carried out directly without going through the steps of colony purification, biochemical confirmation (glucose fermentation, Voges-Proskauer, nitrate reduction and haemolysis tests) and/or microscopic examination usually required by the protocols of standard methods (ISO 7932 and ISO 21871 in particular).

COMPASS® Bacillus Plus Agar is obtained by adding a nutritional supplement to COMPASS® Bacillus cereus Agar. This medium reduces the incubation time to 21 hours and also allows the recovery of all strains of the Bacillus cereus group, including Bacillus cytotoxicus.

COMPASS® Bacillus cereus Agar and COMPASS® Bacillus Plus Agar are NF VALIDATION certified for the enumeration of bacteria of the Bacillus cereus group, without confirmation of colonies under Certificate N° BKR 23/06-02/10, whose validity period is set at 5 February 2022.
