COMPASS Bacillus cereus Agar is a solid medium used for the detection and enumeration of spores and vegetative forms of suspected species belonging to the Bacillus cereus group in products intended for human and animal consumption.

COMPASS Bacillus Plus Agar is obtained by adding a food additive to COMPASS Bacillus cereus Agar. With this medium, the incubation time can be reduced to 21 hours and all strains of the Bacillus cereus group, including Bacillus cytotoxicus, can be recovered.

COMPASS Bacillus cereus Agar and COMPASS Bacillus Plus Agar are NF VALIDATION certified for the enumeration of bacteria of the Bacillus cereus group without colony confirmation with reference number BKR 23/06-02/10, validity runs until 5 February 2025.
