DESCRIPTION: VRBG agar (Violet Red Bile Glucose/Dextrose) with neutralisers is a ready-to-use medium. The medium is used for the detection and enumeration of Enterobacteriaceae, as well as for the detection of Gram-negative and bile salt-resistant bacteria on surfaces by printing on agar to monitor industrial critical points (examples: protected areas, microbiological monitoring programmes for surfaces and industrial environments).
