COMPASS® Listeria is a method for the detection of Listeria monocytogenes and Listeria spp. and a method for the enumeration of Listeria monocytogenes in food products and environmental samples, even highly contaminated ones.

The COMPASS® Listeria method is used as an alternative rapid method for the detection of Listeria monocytogenes and Listeria spp. in food products and environmental samples. It features a single step of selective enrichment in Fraser broth ½, followed by transplantation to COMPASS® Listeria Agar.

The method is certified NF VALIDATION, under Attestation N° BKR 23/02-11/02. The COMPASS® Listeria method is also used as part of an alternative rapid method for the enumeration of L. monocytogenes in human food products and environmental samples, by inoculation of a single plate on the surface or in depth. It is certified NF VALIDATION, under Attestation N° BKR 23/05-12/07.
