Salmonella Double Buffered Enrichment medium is a specially formulated and controlled double buffered peptone water for optimal detection of Salmonella in food and feed products with an acidic pH (below 4.5). Salmonella Double Buffered Enrichment complies with the requirements of NF EN ISO 6579-1, horizontal method for the detection of Salmonella spp. This medium also meets the requirements of NF EN ISO 6887-1 for the preparation of samples, stock suspension and decimal dilutions for microbiological examination, as well as NF EN ISO 6887-4 on specific rules for the preparation of various products. The Salmonella Double Buffered Enrichment medium can be used for the implementation of the alternative methods IRIS Salmonella® and SESAME Salmonella TEST® and any other method requiring a dilution in double buffered peptone water.
