Product information

Malt extract is mainly intended for the cultivation of yeasts and moulds. In particular, it is used in the composition of the malt extract medium. It promotes the sporulation of moulds such as Aspergillus and Penicillium. Because of its high carbohydrate content, malt extract must not be subjected to excessive heating which would lead to browning of the culture medium.
